The Energy Performance Diagnosis

The E.P.D. is an assessment that provides information on the amount of energy consumed by a building and evaluates its energy performance, as well as the impact of its consumption in terms of greenhouse gas emissions.

It is represented by a document whose content and establishment methods are regulated.
It is part of the energy policy defined at the European level to reduce building energy consumption and limit greenhouse gas emissions.

The E.P.D. is valid for 10 years.

The E.P.D. is purely informative: the buyer or tenant cannot use the information contained in the diagnosis against the seller or the landlord.

Its purpose is to encourage the owner to improve the building's energy performance, but it does not impose an obligation to carry out work.

Furthermore, the consumption estimated in the E.P.D. by the assessor is not a contractual guarantee.
